 Dear Members:
Expect to see this sign soon at our YMCA. It promises
to be a busy, chaotic and maybe even frustrating (at
times) summer and fall but it will be worth it! We are
finally going to begin the much needed repairs,
renovations and expansion we have been planning for the
last two years!
What does this mean to our members?
Over the next few months we will continue to offer our
fitness classes (in a temporary location) and our cardio
and weight room will remain open until we are ready to
reveal our new Wellness Centre space. It is our
commitment to our members that you will be able to
continue meeting your Health and Wellness need through
the YMCA during this time and we thank you for your
patience as we endeavour to make this all happen with
the minimum discomfort to everyone! Upon completion we
will be able to offer more programs simultaneously,
accommodate a variety of workout needs and continually
introduce new programs all in a bright, clean, user
friendly environment.
In addition we will soon be under construction at the
other end of the building as our new Early Learning
Center becomes a reality! This new addition to our
building means more families will be served through
expanded childcare programs including infant care,
extended care hours and more childcare spaces. This new
addition will be completely developed with the YMCA
Playing to Learn curriculum in mind. This will mean a
quality childcare experience in a warm homelike
atmosphere.
We will be sharing more information with our members as
it becomes available. Watch for postings of information
sessions soon!
