Our Mission: "The YMCA is dedicated to the development of all persons in spirit, mind and body and in the sense of responsibility to each other and the global community." YMCA volunteers play a key role in maintaining the quality and consistency of our services. Our mission is achieved through the ongoing support, leadership and commitment of our volunteers. Training and orientation, as well as certification, is provided to our volunteers to ensure a positive experience for everyone. There are many ways in which you can contribute to the continued success of our YMCA.

Health and Fitness Help us spread a healthy lifestyle! While in the cardio and weight rooms be available to help other members or guests by giving orientations to the equipment and promoting a friendly environment. There is also the opportunity to become a nationally certified YMCA instructor in all types of group fitness as well as individual conditioning and aquafit. Committees Share your experience and expertise by being part of a YMCA Committee. Amherst Y's Men's and Y's Menettes Club		Membership Services All good visits to the YMCA start at the front desk. Gain communicative and administrative skills by helping and greeting our members and guests as well as babysitting youngsters. Facility Be a part of maintaining the facility and keeping it clean. There are various projects both big and small going on at the YMCA where extra hands are needed. Special Events There are many different special events that the YMCA is involved in throughout the year. Help make those events bigger and better.
