The YMCA of Cumberland has swimming lessons for all ages. Below you will find descriptions of our programs.

YMCA Swim Programs
Just U & Me
For children ages 6 months to 3 years with their parents.
A beginning orientation to the water and water safety. A Parent / Guardian must accompany the child in the water.
YMCA Preschool Swim Lessons: Splasher & Bubbler
For children ages 6 months to 3 years with their parent or guardian.
These levels build further from the Just U & Me program including new aquatic skills and knowledge.
YMCA Preschool Swim Lessons
For children ages 3 to 5 years old.
This program is an introduction to the aquatic environment and the development of aquatic skills.
Learn To Swim Program (Otter, Seal, Dolphin, Swimmer)
For children 5 years and up
This program develops swimming skills and basic water safety procedures.
Star Program
Designed for children and youth interested in learning more than the basics of swimming. Stroke development, endurance, first aid and leadership skills are taught at these levels.
Adult Swimming Lessons
For people ages 16 and over who want to learn how to swim or want to improve their swimming skills. Adult lessons are delivered in private or semi-private settings.
