Dance Dance (8 weeks)

A recreational, introductory dance program offering a combination of Hip Hop / Jazz / Modern Dance, which provides an opportunity for littles to learn and grow through music, movement and fun!

Ages: 2yrs - 8yrs
Start Date: January 14, 2024
Session Days & Times: Sunday from 1:00- 1:30pm (2yrs); 1:35 – 2:05pm (3-4yrs); 2:10 – 2:40pm (5-8yrs)
Cost: Inclusive of a Family Membership; Child Member - $80; Non Member - $168

 

Soccer Stars (8 weeks)

Soccer Stars is designed to introduce team sport and basic soccer skills to children, while building self-esteem and body awareness

Ages: 8 to 10 years old
Start Date: January 15th, 2024
Session Days & Times: Mondays at 4:30 to 5:15 pm
Cost: Inclusive of a Family Membership; Child Member- $80; Non- Members- $168.00

Run Jump Throw Wheel (RJTW)  (8 weeks)

Run Jump Throw Wheel is a national program developed by Athletics Canada that teaches fundamental movement skills and develops physical literacy. Using track and field inspired games, activities and skill challenges teach the fundamentals of running , jumping, throwing and wheeling ( fir children in wheelchairs).

Ages: 5 to 7 years old
Start Date: January 17th, 2024
Session Days & Times: Wednesdays at 4:30 to 5:15 pm
Cost: Inclusive of a Family Membership; Child Member- $80; Non- Members- $168.00

Fitness Recreation

3-on-3 Basketball – Drop In

Description: Gather up 3 or 4 teammates to take on others team in weekly mini tournament. 

Ages: 14 – 25 years

Start Date: September 20, 2023

Session Days & Times: Wednesdays from 7:30 pm to 9:30 pm

Cost: Inclusive of membership. Non-members - $5.00

 

 

Pickleball - Drop In
Description: Pickleball is a growing sport designed for all ages and skill levels. It’s a paddle sport with a mix between tennis, badminton and ping-pong. No experience required; teams will be divided at random.

Ages: 16yrs+
Dates: September – October Fitness Schedule

Session Days & Times: Sunday 2:15pm to 4:15pm, Tuesday 9:00am to 11:00am & 7:15pm to 9:00pm, and Thursday 6:30pm to 8:30pm

Cost:  Inclusive of Membership; Pickleball Pass for Non-Members ($25 for 5 sessions)
 

 

Play Pals

Description: Balls, hoops and ride-on toys are just some of the fun activities that little ones can look forward to during Play Pal sessions, as well as the Bouncy Castle. Active play develops gross motor skills, strong muscles and healthy hearts. YMCA Play Pals is a great place for little ones and their parents to make new friends!

Ages: Preschool (0-4yrs)
Start Date: Ongoing

Session Day & Time: Sundays, 10:00am to 11:00am

Cost: Inclusive of Membership (Family Membership for under 3yrs or Child 3-4yrs);

$5.00 Non Member (Parent & Child)

Notes: Parent Participation required.

Adult Programing 

Intro to Yoga Flow with Holly (6 weeks)
Interested in trying yoga but scared you’ll look silly? Or that you’re not flexible or strong enough? Or maybe you’ve tried but just couldn’t get into it?

In this 6-week program, we’ll go through the most common poses you’ll encounter in a regular yoga class. From basic foot placement, to alignment, to adjustments specific to your body’s needs, this class will give you the foundation you need to get comfortable on your mat. We’ll also practice breathing techniques that you’ll find useful both on and off the mat.

Ages: 16+

Dates: November 14th

Session Days & Times: Tuesdays, 6:00 to 7:00pm

Cost: Inclusive of membership, non-members - $115

Self-Defense (8 weeks)

In this class, students will learn basic awareness of surroundings, ways to be more aware of what is going on around you, and ways to avoid unsafe situations. Also, self-defense does not always need to be physical.

Ages: women, 16+

Start Date: October 15th, 2023

Session Days & Times: Sunday 4:30 to 5:30pm

Cost: Inclusive of membership, non-members - $150

Tai Chi (7 Weeks)
Enjoy the benefits of improved health, relief of stress and concentrated relaxation. Emphasis is on general health and fitness through the development of slow and controlled movements in a fixed sequence. Immediate benefits include improved balance (especially useful in preventing falls), posture, coordination, breathing, stamina and concentration.

Ages: All ages welcome

Start Date: November 9th

Cost: Inclusive of membership, non-members - $130

Session Day & Time: Thursday 9:30am to 10:30am
